Every MSC is about community - building a shared life together, and finding new ways of reaching out to those outside of church.

The Jesus Relevance presents the person of Jesus as being the answer to typical and contemporary challenges and situations faced by ordinary people. We will meet once a month in the informal setting of a coffee shop (Cafe Culture, Leeds Road, Harrogate) and hear real-life stories of how Jesus has made the difference to challenges such as bereavement, debt, the death of a child and terminal illness; but also everyday matters such as marriage, parenting teenagers and working in different career areas. The Jesus Relevance highlights there is no area of life, or no life experience where Jesus can’t make a difference.

The speakers will tell their stories (in 30 minutes) in an authentic way and answer any questions put to them. Discussion will be welcomed and prayer will always be available for any who want it.

We meet once a month for
Messy Church - and once a month as a community.

Whether or not you have a "family", if your heart is to reach families with the good news that we have a living God then please feel free to join us!

wanderers ...

Our current activities include:

Maintaining and making friendships within a walking/exercise class

Using a survey in the shopping precinct to stimulate people to think through their beliefs

(Sometimes friends from Elim Church join us in doing this)

Inviting any of our contacts to a monthly Curry and Conversation evening in Wetherspoons Family Room

Running a weekly discipleship group for those who have become Christians on a recent Alpha course

Holding a weekly prayer/planning/ fellowship meeting

Organising an occasional lunch for friends with learning disabilities

Participating in praying for 'Healing on the Streets' (Organised by New Life Church)

Planning a future Alpha course to start in May

We are not all involved in all of the above activities, but come together once a month for a time of praise, prayer, teaching and Communion. This is normally on a Sunday morning and is followed by a shared lunch and social time.
